Treen Cased Dr Esbach Alluminimeter

Esbach's Alluminimeter or (Albuminometer) was used for measuring the amount of albumin (a protein) in the urine. The graduations indicate grams of protein per litre of urine. Urine is placed in tube up to U level and then Esbach's reagent (mixture of pictric and citric acid in water) is poured in up to the R marker. A stopper is placed in the tube and then the tube was inverted slowly a few times and left to stand for 24 hours. Presented in its original treen case measuring 19cms long.
